Bangkok’s Ghost Tower

A 49 – story building, that was meant to be the homes of many affluent Thai families overlooks the Chao Phraya river and has since been abandoned when the Asian financial crisis struck in1997.

Now it’s been nicknamed the ” Ghost Tower ” by Thai’s and urban explorers who flock to this monument of mistakes.

Located near the entrance sits a home-made shrine that is home to the spirits, bottles of Red Fanta accompany the shrine which it’s claimed are the spirits favorite drink.

Graffiti that is scrawled in chalk on the fifth floor reads ” The only way is up “.
